Balance & Finish: Delicate with clean dry finish
Body & Texture: Medium body with a tea like texture
Flavors: Peach, lime, black tea and vanilla bean
Grade: Moderate Density, Bean Size Peaberry

Processing: Fully Washed
Roasting: We like this coffee around City+ to Full City (Light-medium to medium) in order to maintain the delicate body and light, sweet flavors. It roasts very evenly and you can take it darker if you wish for a bit more body and to tone down the brightness, but avoid roasts darker than Full City + (Medium-Dark)
Recommendation: Perfect for an after-lunch coffee, iced or hot.
Reminder! This coffee is raw, you must roast it before brewing
Our Review: The 90's were not kind years for the good folks of Rwanda. The genocide of 1994 left thousands of widows unable to provide for their families so in 2008, 180 women of the KOPAKAMA co-op formed a Women's group focused on the rahabilitation of several coffee farms that had been left unattended. Their aim was to rebuild their lives and provide for themselves and other women who had been left without husbands for many years. They tend their own farms individually and have been working together to build a collective farm using their coffee sales called "Ejo Heza" which means "A Beautiful Tomorrow." They've further invested in water access to local communities and their group has grown to include 247 members. We're proud to support their efforts in "A Beautiful Tomorrow" and proud to offer the delicious fruits of their labors!
Generally, we've been incredibly impressed with the coffee coming out of Rwanda in the last couple years and we were excited to try a Peaberry. We're happy to say this is yet another fine coffee from Rwanda! We've come to expect the coffee from Rwanda to be sweet, medium bodied with a clean, quick finish and this Peaberry is no exception. Like most Peaberry versions of regular coffees, it's a bit more gentle and subtle than it's conventional counterpart with a light, tea-like body and delicate flavors. We noted peach, lime, black tea and nectarine with vanilla bean and a bit more of a dry finish. This is delicate, sweet coffee perfect for an after lunch coffee iced or hot.
