Uganda Mbale Crown Jewel Bundle
Both of our offerings from Uganda were made Crown Jewels by Royal Coffee! Both are also microlots from Mountain Harvest's Mbale. One is a honey process and the other is fully washed making for an excellent comparison.
Region: Yilwanako, Buginyanya, Bushiyi, Makali, Bukalasi and Sipi communities, Mt. Elgon, Uganda
Varietals: SL-14, Nyasaland
Roasting: Both coffees perform well at Full Medium which would be a great roast level to compare the two. You can take either into the City+ to Full City+ range (light-medium to medium-dark). These coffees are incredibly dense, so apply heat liberally early in the roast, but watch out for it to take off near the end of maillard/carmelization. Just before 1st crack it might be best to pull back and let the beans begin to take over or you might push through development too quickly. Your mileage may vary!

Uganda Mountain Harvest Mbale Washed Organic: This offering, along with it's Honey Processed twin, has been immaculately sorted and processed to deliver a cup that's bold, flavorful and clean. We tasted balanced notes of grape, nectarine, milk chocolate and amaretto.
Uganda Mountain Harvest Mbale Honey Organic: This offering, along with it's Fully Washed twin, has been immaculately sorted and processed to deliver a cup that's bold, flavorful and clean. We enjoyed notes of juicy blackberry, grape and persimmon with a winey kick and a hibiscus undertone.
