Our Review: COOPAFSI (Cooperative Agraria “Frontera San Ignacio” Ltda) was officially established in June 1969. Incredibly progressive for its time, this cooperative considers gender equality of the utmost importance and prides itself on promoting "women grown" coffee. COOPAFSI believes its female members contribute to the physical and sensory quality of the coffee. They are always managing new projects and developing new ways to improve the lives of their families. They focus their efforts on improving quality and delivering consistent coffee to different markets. In 2016, a committee of women was created by the cooperative and they are responsible for distributing loans which will enable producers to improve their own land while also taking part in new developments for their kitchens, crafts and livestock.
We love Peruvian coffee for its gentle profile and excellent "drink-ability". If you've got a friend who absolutely refuses to drink coffee black and must have cream and sugar to make it appeal to them, this is the coffee to have them try black. It's easy, smooth and sweet, with little to no bite and delicate, sweet flavors. This coffee is very balanced and sweet with plenty of body. If you look for chocolate (think "mocha") flavors in your coffee, look no further! We found tons of Dark chocolate, honey and tangerine
