This coffee comes from 4 family farms, all owned by relatives, in the highlands of the Chiapas region of Mexico. It's clear this family cares about their coffee from the first sip. It's a deliciously bright, warm and balanced cup with decadent notes of dark chocolate, caramel and orange.

Roasting: We like this coffee best right at Full City (medium). Feel free to take it a bit darker into Full City + or even Vienna if you're looking for a bit more body and more of a baker's chocolate feel, though you may lose some of the sweetness and creamy texture.

Our Review: "This coffee is sourced from Eugenio Roblero, Froilan Roblero Cifuentes, Otoniel Roblero Cifuentes, and Omar Roblero Cifuentes, who are uncles and cousins to Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia. These four family-owned farms are located within the municipality of Bella Vista in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia, who was raised in the Bella Vista coffee community, has dedicated herself to helping producers with small plots of land (averaging 5 acres) earn a better price for their coffee. Rosalba ensures traceability for her community coffee by personally exporting the coffee directly to the Bay Area. Rosalba also concerns herself with the small details like being sure to pull samples without piercing the producers bags, which has eliminated the cost for replacing damaged bags. These efforts allow producers to earn higher prices and reinvest in better agricultural practices and improve the livelihoods for their families." - Royal Coffee
It's clear from the first sip that lots of family love and care has gone into this coffee. It's warm, sweet and inviting with a bright and sparkly front end. The body is full and creamy with a clean, slightly crisp finish. The flavors are well balanced and borderline decadent with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and sweet orange. A fabulous dessert cup that pairs well with melted chocolate, cream or steamed milk. Try a dash of chili powder and cinnamon on top to add a kick!
