Our Review: This natural processed coffee from the COMSA coop in Honduras was produced exclusively for one of our favorite importers, Royal NY. COMSA is one a role model for coops in Central America having set goals during their inception in 2000 to transform the lives of their farmers and the local community. In the past 16 years they have integrated organic farming techniques, applied for and been granted Fair Trade status and financed many community projects including subsidizing teacher's salaries, buying school supplies, building kitchens for schools and much more. We're proud to support their efforts to not only produce amazing coffee but impact the coffee growing community for the better!
We've never had a coffee from COMSA we didn't like and we were incredibly excited to try a natural processed coffee from Honduras! We were certainly not disappointed. Much like a great Ethiopian coffee, this coffee is exploding with intense fruity and funky flavor. It's got a surprisingly syrupy body and a lingering honey finish. If for no other reason than the uniqueness of this coffee, you've got to give it a try!
