Our Review: This Coffee is sourced from Productos Orgánicos Nueva Esperanza (PRONE), an organization located in the municipality of Siguatepeque, Honduras. PRONE was established in 2008 and works with 116 coffee producers from five departments in Honduras. PRONE provides technical assistance and training to help producers obtain and maintain their organic certification. PRONE is also collaborating with producers to improve waste water management practices at the farm level.
This coffee is versatile and user friendly. We think it shines brightest right at full medium but it handles many roast levels well! Lighter roasts exhibit more crisp brightness and citrus, notably lime. Darker roasts will yield heavier notes of cocoa and baker's chocolate with a more pronounced nutty finish. Great all on it's own but it also plays great with others as a blender!
