Switching things up from our usual Yirgacheffe coffees, we've got an amazing selection from the Sidamo region! It's creamy and a bit more full bodied than we're used to with notes of strawberry and cocoa with a floral flair. Best of all, it's Organic and Fair Trade!

Roasting: Most heirloom natural process Ethiopian coffees exhibit the best of their flavors in the light to light medium range (City to City +) which is right where we like this one best.
The Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia tends to get a lot of love around here, and for good reason! But the often overlooked region of Sidamo also produces some premium grade coffee and has been really gearing towards sustainability the past few years. We've decided to put our tried and true Yirg to the side for a bit and put some high grade Sidamo through the roaster. We're loving it and you will too!
Compared to our usual Yirg, the Sidamo is decidedly heavier bodied, a welcome change from the occasionally thin expression we get from a Natural Yirgacheffe. Also, this Sidamo is quite creamy on the tongue, more like a good Guatemalan coffee. All the same funky and twisty character of natural processed heirloom Ethiopian coffee is present with a heavy Strawberry bent and really just makes you think "mmm juicy!" And the best part? It's Organic and Fair Trade so you can feel great about enjoying it! Roast it on the lighter side for best results.
