From the Santa Marta mountains in the Sierra Nevada range comes this organic, Rainforest Alliance certified coffee. It's sweet, creamy and full bodied with balanced notes of milk chocolate, caramel and almond.

Roasting: Start with a Full City (Medium), or just up to the second crack. Like most Colombia coffee, there is lots of room to experiment with the roast level and you can go lighter or darker if you wish. Lighter roasts will yield brighter flavors and more sweetness while darker will give you a bit more body. This coffee roasts very evenly.
Recommendation: For people who enjoy a warm, balanced and clean cup. The creamy body of this coffee makes it particularly comforting, so it's perfect for those cold winter mornings.

Our Review: The Sierra Nevada region has a history of indigenous communities living in this area, which is linked to their tradition of organic production. In Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, there is a single harvest per year, as opposed to the rest of Colombia which experiences two harvest seasons. The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range is located in Northern Colombia and it is the highest coastal mountain range in the world. The indigenous families growing coffee in this region refrain from using any synthetic products and they firmly believe in coexisting in harmony with nature.
This delicious coffee is distinctive yet you definitely know it's Colombian coffee when you cup it. The rich, full body and creamy texture are the first things we noticed. There's also a lovely cherry and chocolate smell when ground that is just mouthwatering. It's moderately acidic and gently sweet with warm notes of milk chocolate, caramel and almond. It's well balance and has a nice clean finish which is sure to please any coffee lover.
