If you think Peaberry makes for a more subdued cup, think again. This coffee is loud. Big, in your face and super complex. It's herbaceous, earthy, sweet, fruity, tangy and even a touch winey. We got notes of meyer lemon, kiwi, dark chocolate and a hint of basil. If you're looking for something different, this one's a treat!

Size :

Peaberry coffee has an undeserved reputation for being a more mild and subtle version of it's sibling beans. The big AA and A beans get all the attention since they're big and the assumption is that they contain the biggest flavors. I'll admit I made the same assumption once. But after many years of cupping Peaberry, I've learned never to overlook the tiny, round beans. This coffee offers the perfect case in point. If you want a loud coffee (and I say that as an amateur drummer who likes it loud), look no further! The cup is complex, bold and in your face. It's herbaceous, earthy, sweet, fruity, tangy and even a touch winey. Honestly, if I didn't know better, someone could have told me it was a natural processed coffee! In cupping, we noted meyer lemon, kiwi, dark chocolate and even a hint of basil. If you're a fan of the unusual and always looking for something different to try, this coffee will be a treat.

Reminder! This coffee is raw, you must roast it before brewing

Royal Coffee - "Papua New Guinea Nebilyer Valley Peaberry is sourced from family owned farms located in the Nebilyer Valley within Tambul-Nebilyer District, Papua New Guinea. Each producer cultivates coffee on 1 to 2 hectares of land. The coffee is fully washed and sun dried at the Kuta mill, which has been in operation for over 40 years. The Kuta mill operates between the Ulga and Kolga tribes and has become a place of common ground for producers who have traditionally been in conflict because of tribal differences. The mill owner, Brian Leahy, makes a bonus payment after the harvest to farmers who consistently deliver quality cherries."
